Young Disciples Newsletter

Sabbath School In Person

We are happy to welcome you and your family to our Children’s Division.

Sabbath School classes are held weekly from 10:00 to 11:00. Below is a list of classes and where each of them meet:

BEGINNERS 1 (typically ages 0-2)
Meets in the Beginners 1 classroom.

BEGINNERS 2 (typically ages 2-4)
Meets in the Beginners 2 classroom.

KINDERGARTEN 1 & 2 (typically ages 4 through Kindergarten)
Meets together in the Kindergarten 1 classroom.

PRIMARY 1 (typically grades 1 & 2)
Begins with Kids Own Worship* in Heubach Chapel from 10:00-10:20. At 10:20 kids go to the Primary 1 classroom for the rest of Sabbath School.

PRIMARY 2 (typically grades 3 & 4)
Begins with Kids Own Worship* in Heubach Chapel from 10:00-10:20. At 10:20 kids go to the Primary 2 classroom for the rest of Sabbath School.

JUNIORS (typically grades 5-6)
Begins with Kids Own Worship* in Heubach Chapel from 10:00-10:20. At 10:20 kids go to the Junior classroom for the rest of Sabbath School.

JR HIGH (typically grades 7-8)
Meets in the Jr. High classroom.

YOUTH (high school)
Meets in the Youth Classroom.

*Kids Own Worship

A special worship time for Primary and Junior classrooms will be held in Heubach Chapel each Sabbath morning from 10:00-10:20. (Beginners, Kindergarten, and Junior High will have their own classes beginning in their respective classrooms at 10:00, though they are welcome to attend the worship in Heubach as well.) Following Worship, the kids will go to their main classrooms.

Children's Ministry Community

We’re working to build our Children’s Ministry community and would love to have you join us. Follow our WWU Children’s Ministries Facebook page to see information on upcoming events, Sabbath School and Church news, photos, and other information.

And, if you’re interested in getting more involved in Children’s Ministry the Children’s Department is looking for people to help teach in the Beginners, Primary, Juniors, and Junior High classrooms. We currently have a few teachers in these classes, but need additional support. Please contact the Church Office at church@wallawalla.edu or 509-527-2800 if you feel called to be a part of our Children’s Ministry.

JUMP Discipleship Group

JUMP Discipleship Group

JUMP

is a discipleship group for 5th & 6th grade students and is focused on discipling kids to follow Jesus by learning in community about 1. solitude (devotional time), 2. study (Bible study), and 3. service (evangelism and service projects).

JUMP will begin on Thursday, September 14 and run from 4pm-5pm every Thursday through November 16.

Parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to be involved!

High Five Discipleship Group

High Five

is a discipleship group for 7th & 8th grade students and is focused on discipling kids to follow Jesus by learning in community about 1. solitude (devotional time), 2. study (Bible study), and 3. service (evangelism and service projects).

High Five will begin on Thursday, September 14 and run from 5:30pm-6:30pm every Thursday through November 16.

Parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to be involved!

University Church Pathfinders

Torchbearers is the Pathfinder club of the Walla Walla University Church. Pathfinders meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the University Church Fellowship Hall.

Pathfinders is for all youth ages 10-15. To find out more information about our Pathfinder club, visit the Torchbearers website here.
