THIS SABBATH
AT THE UNIVERSITY CHURCH
WORSHIP NOTE
What a joy it is to be with this congregation to worship God together one last time this school year. Welcome to the Walla Walla University Church.
For the final time this academic year we hear the committed, hard-working, and deeply gifted students who make up I Cantori of Walla Walla University. It has been my honor and joy to work with them five days every week since last September. Each of these students is impressive musically, yet combined they comprise something even greater than the sum of their individual selves. I believe that this has something to do with their generous, kind regard for each other. As a group we have talked this year about community and as a choir we have sung about being “a colony of heaven in the country of death.”
As Pastor Alex talks about the word “with,” I want to take a moment to offer special thanks for the fellowship and relationships that have blessed me this year. Thank you to the Walla Walla University Church for yet another year of holy fellowship. What a special congregation you are! Thank you to the many students of University Singers who have enriched my experience again this year and made such great music. And thank you to I Cantori for loving each other and every listener for whom you sing.
-Kraig Scott
The University Church Budget funds operations subsidies for both Rogers & WWVA. In addition to this essential investment, the church also maintains a "Student Aid"
fund which is used exclusively to help church members' families with tuition at our schools. The students this benefits might not otherwise be able to enjoy Christian education. To donate to "Student Aid," mark your gift on a tithe envelope.
