Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."
-Jeremiah 29:5-7

MUSIC NOTE

We thank Julie Penner for sharing her music with us. Although she now makes her home in Tennessee and teaches at Southern Adventist University, Julie grew up here attending Walla Walla University. She typically spends time in our valley each summer visiting her parents and in-laws who still live here. We also thank Bruce Toews who leads the praise music.

In addition to two pieces by her friend Ethan McGrath, Julie Penner sings her own setting of the familiar hymn text “Just As I Am,” written in 1834 by Charlotte Elliott. Our hymnal contains two melodies for this text

(Hymn No.313 and No.314). As you prepare to worship please take some time to quietly consider the third stanza, given here.

Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt;
“Fightings within, and fears without,”
O Lamb of God, I come.

-Kraig Scott

GIVE

The University Church budget funds many important aspects of our local ministry. Although pastors' salaries are funded by donations marked "tithe", the University Church budget is what subsidizes our amazing K-12 school programs at Walla Walla Valley Academy and Rogers Adventist School. It also makes our worship services and broadcast ministry possible. Thank you for your generous and systematic support!

As always - we welcome your gifts made right here on our website. Click Here to Give!
