We thank everyone who participated in our Church Work Bee this past Sunday! Over 35 volunteers helped with landscaping, deep cleaning, and this year's special project—tearing out the old carpet in our Children's Wing in preparation for new carpet installation. Your time and support are deeply appreciated, and your help around our church does not go unnoticed!

MUSIC NOTE

Please join me in wishing a warm Walla Walla welcome to a new musician in our midst. You may have heard Amanda Kitto last Sabbath when she joined Benjamin Gish to provide music during our annual outdoor foot washing service; today we get to welcome her more formally. Amanda, a junior at WWVA, and her family come to us from Paradise, California—they are among the victims who lost everything to the savage Camp Fire. Thank you, Kitto family, for your courage to move and begin a new life—we are glad you chose Walla Walla. And thank you, Amanda, for sharing your music with us.

The prelude presents a familiar tune (Hymn No.606) as set to less-familiar words. While you prepare your heart to worship I invite you to meditate on this text, some of which is given here.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus
Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free
Rolling as a mighty ocean
In its fullness over me.

Underneath me, all around me
Is the current of your love
Leading onward, leading homeward
To your glorious rest above.

-Kraig Scott

GIVE

Thank you for your generosity to the local ministry of the University Church, as well as to the global mission of the Adventist Church. Today, the loose offering goes toward the University Church budget. Aside from pastors’ salaries, which are funded by donations marked “tithe,” the University Church budget funds all local ministries including Youth and Children, WWVA and Rogers subsidies, broadcast, worship, and the upkeep of our facility.

Summer light service is live–streamed weekly in Heubach Chapel as an option for parents with young children who would find that location helpful. In addition, a toddler room is newly renovated, along with a private room for nursing mothers in the balcony. We offer multiple options for your comfort; all are welcome in the Sanctuary!

All of our services are translated live by native Spanish-speakers and are broadcast to handheld devices available to borrow at the information desk in the lobby. Please see a deacon at the desk on Sabbath to receive a device and instructions on how to use it.
