The hope of the world is Jesus Christ, and it is in real, flesh-and-blood, local church communities that His Body has taken up residence.

Graduates of Walla Walla University, it has been an honor to have you as members of this congregation, this spiritual family, over the past many years. It is my prayer that as you move on from this place, you will discover a lifetime of meaningful worship, productive service, and abundant love in a local church, whose center and circumference is Jesus.

-Alex Bryan, Senior Pastor

MUSIC NOTE

We wish a warm Walla Walla welcome to all of our visitors; thank you for helping us celebrate this graduation weekend. Please join me in congratulating the senior class and thanking three of them for sharing their music. Tyler Sherwin is a business major who previously graduated from Mesa Grande Academy. Chelsea Bond, a music major, lives right here in College Place, and Frankie Bones, another music major, comes from beautiful British Columbia just to the north.

Ernest Shurtleff wrote our opening hymn on the occasion of his own graduation from Andover Theological Seminary in 1888. In the context of a graduation, the words take on added significance. As you prepare to worship God in this beautiful place, please take time to silently meditate on this inspiring text, some of which is given here.

Lead on, O King Eternal,
The day of march has come;
Henceforth in fields of conquest
Thy tents shall be our home;
Through days of preparation
Thy grace has made us strong,
And now, O King Eternal,
We lift our battle song.

-Kraig Scott

GIVE

The University Church budget funds many important aspects of our local ministry. Although pastors' salaries are funded by donations marked "tithe", the University Church budget is what subsidizes our amazing K-12 school programs at Walla Walla Valley Academy and Rogers Adventist School. It also makes our worship services and broadcast ministry possible. Thank you for your generous and systematic support!

As always - we welcome your gifts made right here on our website. Click Here to Give!
